Awareness today ensures a safer tomorrow.
With the aim of creating awareness and guiding students to make responsible choices in life, Dharav High School organised an informative session on drug abuse conducted by Kritika Goyal and Kapil Sharma Inspectors at the Narcotics Control Bureau.
The officers sensitised students about the growing problem of drug abuse among youth and explained the reasons behind children indulging in drugs including peer pressure, curiosity, stress and lack of awareness. They discussed various kinds of drugs and their harmful physical and psychological effects, highlighting how addiction can negatively impact health, academic performance, relationships and future opportunities. Students were also informed about the strict legal consequences associated with possession, consumption and trafficking of narcotic substances.
The inspectors addressed students’ queries and clarified doubts through real-life examples, making the session interactive and meaningful. The session concluded with students taking an oath to stay away from drugs and promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
