"Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom."
The English Day celebration for Grades III to V was conducted on Friday, 15 May 2026, with immense zeal and enthusiasm. The event aimed to boost student vocabulary and grammar through immersive, hands-on learning experiences. Students across all sections participated actively, transforming their classrooms into vibrant hubs of literary exploration and healthy competition.
During the celebration, teachers conducted three distinct activities tailored to the developmental levels of the young learners. In the "Identify the Iconic Cartoon Characters" activity, students used visual clues to recognize characters like Mickey Mouse, Spiderman etc, The "Building Compound Words" session followed as a hands-on puzzle activity where students joined distinct words—such as "sun" and "flower"—to build new vocabulary. Finally, the "Parts of Speech Activity" reinforced fundamental grammar rules by having students sort interactive flashcards into nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and prepositions.
The Principal highly appreciated the creative efforts of both the students and the teachers. Witnessing the high energy and student engagement, further she encouraged the department to conduct similar interactive language activities regularly in the future for improving students' everyday vocabulary and public speaking confidence.
