“Shapes are everywhere, just take a look – math is more than just a book!”
In Math Shape Wizard activity, Grade III students combined creativity with learning.
As part of a classroom activity, students were encouraged to bring cut-outs of various mathematical shapes such as circles, triangles, squares and rectangles made from paper and other materials. Using these shapes, they designed and created their very own Rakhis!
The activity not only celebrated the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, but also helped reinforce geometry concepts in a fun and hands-on way. The students explored clever combinations of shapes, symmetry, patterns and design—all while expressing their festive spirit.
The school Principal Ms. Ritu Sharma appreciated the blending cultural traditions with classroom learning and said activities like these foster imagination, reinforce academic concepts and create lasting memories.
