Five teachers from Dharav High School, VDN attended a three-day Teach Camp organised by ScooNews from 20 to 22 December 2025 at Daly College, Indore. Accommodation was arranged within the Daly College campus, providing a comfortable residential learning environment.
The teachers attended a range of enriching sessions led by renowned educators. These included sessions on perception and self-awareness by Lina Ashar, brain science and critical thinking by Vikramjit Singh Rooprai and hands-on experiential learning to build and assess thinking and learning skills by Balaji Ramanujam and Pooja Gupta. Sessions on cultivating an inquiry mindset by Preethi Vickram, strengthening student–school relationships by Col A Sekhar and nurturing curiosity in the classroom by Col Gopal Karunakaran offered valuable insights into contemporary educational challenges.
Another session highlighted the power of social and emotional learning in boosting performance and building confidence and self-determination in students. After each day’s sessions, reflection activities enabled teachers to consolidate learning and link it to classroom practice.
On the final day, a Teachers Got Talent activity was organised where teachers showcased their creativity through dance, songs, qawwali and nukkad natak. Overall, the Teach Camp was a meaningful professional development experience that enriched teachers with practical strategies and renewed enthusiasm to create supportive, engaging and future-ready classrooms.
