Dharav High School, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, successfully conducted a two-day Math League Activity on 15th and 16th December with great enthusiasm. Students from Pre-Nursery to Prep actively participated in various activities designed to make mathematics fun and connected to real-life situations.
A mini market was set up where fruit and vegetable shops were organized. Children participated in buying and selling activities using play money. They measured fruits and vegetables and learned about counting, value, and simple transactions. These hands-on experiences helped children understand mathematical concepts in a joyful and meaningful way.
As part of the activity, children also made paper bags to give vegetables to the customers, promoting the message of saving the Earth and reducing the use of plastic.
The Principal, Ms. Ritu Sharma, visited the mini market, interacted with the children purchased fruits and vegetables. She appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of mathematics in daily life, highlighting it as an essential life skill.
